Frequently Asked Questions

We screen all booking requests to confirm guest expectations and agreement to our House Rules. Please review the House Rules in the section below prior to making a booking request. Parties, events, and commercial or similar use of the property are strictly prohibited. Use of the pool/spa is an optional additional charge.

All bookings require a signed rental agreement, which will be provided electronically as part of the booking process. Payments, security deposit credit card holds, damage insurance coverage, and other terms and conditions will be specified in the rental agreement. 

Unless otherwise specified in the rental agreement, if you cancel your booking at least 60 days before the scheduled arrival date you will receive a refund of 100% of paid rental fees less a $250 processing fee. If you cancel between 30 and sixty 60 days before the scheduled arrival date, you will receive a refund of 50% of rental fees paid, less a $250 processing fee. Bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable within thirty (30) days of scheduled arrival. Refunds will be issued within fifteen (15) days of cancellation.

Up to 2 small dogs (maximum of 25 pounds each) are allowed upon payment of an additional nightly charge per pet. This will be included in your total fees at time of booking. You can also decide later and we will charge you separately. Your dogs must be kept in a pen or crate during sleeping hours and when left at the property unattended. One 36″ x 36″ x 24″ foldable circular dog sleeper is available if needed. Otherwise you’ll need to bring your own crate(s).

We welcome children of all ages! This is a family-oriented home, and we try to facilitate that by providing pack n play cribs, high chairs, and booster seats. We even have an elevator so young ones (and older ones too!) can bypass the stairs. 

The rear sliding-glass door leading to the pool is equipped with a pool area access alarm. Once armed, it will sound a loud alarm to alert everyone in the house if the door is opened without first being disarmed.

We can sometimes be flexible on arrival and departure dates and times. Please contact us if you are unable to select your desired dates in the calendar. 

Check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 11am. Depending on the departure time of the prior guest, we may be able to accommodate an early check in. Late check-out is subject to additional charges and dependent on the scheduled arrival time of the next guest. 

Stays of 31 days or more will exempt you from some of the city’s short-term rental restrictions. Among other things, your total cost will be lower and the maximum number of overnight guests will be higher. Please contact us for more information. 

Since this home is the primary residence of the owner, we can only accommodate stays of up to 90 days on an as-available basis.

The rental agreement you will sign during the booking confirmation process will list all of the House Rules and other restrictions, but here’s the short-list:

  1. QUIET PERIOD STARTS AT 7PM — KEEP DOORS CLOSED. NO OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING USE OF THE POOL/SPA AND PATIOS, AFTER 10PM
  2. NO UNSUPERVISED USE OF THE POOL OR SPA
  3. NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS
  4. NO EATING OR DRINKING ON ANY BEDS OR IN ANY CARPETED AREAS
  5. NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
  6. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU DAMAGE SOMETHING, AND ARRANGE FOR ITS REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR
  7. NO ILLICIT DRUG USE OR POSSESSION, AND NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND – INCLUDING VAPING
  8. NO UNCOVERED STREET SHOES IN THE HOUSE
  9. NO UNAUTHORIZED PETS
  10. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES, EVENTS, OR COMMERCIAL (OR SIMILAR) USE OF THE PROPERTY WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION
